The Intake Process Reflection Workbook
Thoughtful Questions for Building an Intake Process That Works for You
This workbook contains the guided explorations from my Complete Intake Guide.
These are the exact reflection exercises I wove throughout the guide to help readers pause, think critically, & apply the material to their own practice.
Because these explorations were originally designed to accompany the larger guide, they are intentionally less instructional & more reflective. Rather than teaching a specific system, they are designed to help you identify what works for you.
Who This Is For
This workbook may be a good fit for you if you:
Want to improve your intake process but aren't sure where to start
Want more clarity about your boundaries, capacity, & non-negotiables
Feel stuck making decisions about your intake workflow
Want to create a more sustainable private practice
Enjoy reflective, self-guided learning
Want support thinking through your process before implementing changes
How the Workbook Is Structured
Each exploration (12 total) begins with a series of questions & checklists designed to help you identify possibilities, preferences, needs, & considerations you may not have thought about on your own.
Rather than starting with completely open-ended reflection, you'll be invited to explore various options related to things like boundaries, fit, capacity, workflows, communication, systems, & client experience. These options are meant to spark ideas, increase self-awareness, & help you identify what feels most aligned with your needs & goals.
Each exploration then concludes with one or more larger reflection questions designed to help you apply what you've discovered, identify themes in your answers, & adapt those insights into a process that fits your specific practice & circumstances.
The goal is not to tell you what decisions to make. The goal is to help you think through the possibilities & create a process that feels intentional, sustainable, & uniquely your own.
